Progress: an incremental advance to a new level of disappointment.
Thought: A culinary ingredient occasionally mixed in good proportion, or when pressed for time, as a seasoning.
Ratiocination: a politically sovereign community of ratiocinae.
Trump: In 21st century American politics and real estate, the hind part of a T-Rex.
Streaming: The reconstitution of subatomic particles onto a display device in a manner designed to dull the senses, addict the nerves, and shred the hearts of poets.
Justice: The discharge from a litigation.
Litigation: A process of restitution more exacting than desired and less severe than warranted. In some modern societies aspiring to be medieval, or perhaps in all, the systemic (or sudden) separation of limb from limb without the benefit of anesthesia.
Climate Change: A few spare coins in the pockets of politicians with a vested interest in the status quo.
Contract: A binding agreement.
Diarrhea: a nonbinding disagreement. [Author’s note: there is considerable debate about whether this entry is worthy of inclusion in so noble a work as this learned dictionary. The fact that it remains suggests that the foregoing adjectives may indeed be misleading].
